The library's preexisting brand was fairly clean. The logo featured a shape that referenced the unique architecture of the building and resembled an opening book. However I saw an opportunity to strengthen the brand with fine tuned kerning, consistent font pairing, and a harmonious color palette that allowed for stronger use of color in the brand. Background icons were added for levity and to showcase the variety of materials, services, and activities provided by the library.
